Bison Assist was founded in 2010 by Chris Hickman. As Chris was watching a David Attenborough documentary where the bison was described as strong, noble, and honest, he thought those are exactly the qualities he wanted his business to have.
The company began as a legionella testing specialist based in Leeds, and from there we have grown to provide a comprehensive package of risk assessment services and eLearning training courses, delivered by a nationwide team of health and safety experts.
To this day we are registered with Legionella Control Association, Safe Contractors, and ISO 9001:2015 accredited to we can adequately support our clients to meet the current compliance standards.
As Bison Assist grew, we began to provide online awareness training. We believe this is the future of risk management awareness training because of its convenience, cost-effectiveness, and accessibility.
Staff can complete training at their own pace – from home or from the workplace – and no one has to travel for training to be completed. Our courses have been extremely popular and successful, and we continue to keep them updated with the latest guidance.
We now work with clients in both the public and private sector and across commercial, residential, and industrial premises. This includes customers in the field of medicine, dentistry, healthcare, and education. We know that each sector has its own specific needs and safety guidance – so we create a bespoke approach to meet the needs of each head on.
We have years of experience in our field and continue to train our staff to the highest standards, enabling us to deliver exceptional services in risk management.
